Web API for the biometric time and attendance machines (Fingerprint, Face Recognition, Card, Palm) and access control machines, which can be integrated with a website or any web application hosted at a domain or public IP.
It provides RESTful APIs and Callback APIs for various operations to communicate with the biometric machines back and forth.
We provide two set of APIs
- Attendance API: This calls back your URL, whenever a attendance gets registered in the machine.
- Management API: This will help for adding, deleting, updating the user in the machine through your software. Also, your sevrer will be notified whenever a new user is added or fingerprint is updated in the machine manually. You can call this API only from a specific server as per the IP configured.

Comparing the fingerprints at server level can be done through the RESTful API . The cost to be based on the number of calles per day/month. You can use any scanner which can give you the fingeprint image to use this service. Not restricted to use only CAMS Fingerprint Scanner
The comparison can be done as 1:1 and 1:N. The response would return the score between 0 to 100. The score is not the percentage. It is how many number of features out of 100, is matching. You have to decide to set your threshold to matching two templates. We would to keep it 5, means, if you get the comparison score more than 5, then you can assume the fingerprints are same finger's data. But, you need to test yourself to confirm, if this threshold is suitable to you.
Workflow:
- Generate Template: Pass the image data and get the template.
- Compare Templates: Either 1:1 or 1:N
